Re: Self care -- Food, salt, sugar and water

With the amount of tea I see you drink in this Forum each day @Sahz51 , I'm surprised you have to drink more water hehe 🙂

The only tip I have is be prepared.
As soon as I stop preparing my meals, my healthy eating goes out the window!

Re: Self care -- Food, salt, sugar and water

there is a theory of inflammation causing depression, and on a test today my inflammation is higher than months ago and I feel worse than months ago, I once gave up sugar for six months and it did seem to have benefits on my mood but I did not continue ,i got back on sugar again.

Re: Self care -- Food, salt, sugar and water

Hello @Former-Member, @getbetter, @NikNik

how are you going today

Re: Self care -- Food, salt, sugar and water

I drank more water than normal today

Re: Self care -- Food, salt, sugar and water

I've never tended to eat a lot of sugar @Shaz51. Salt however is a tricky one for me as I have a condition called hyponatreamia. As a result my body doesn't retain sufficient salt. Ìf I don't maintain a fairly high daily intake of salt it can become life threatening.

I'll join you on the April for healthy eating. I make all my meals from scratch so apart from increasing my vegie intake it shouldn't be too hard.

If you're fond of jam, make your own with only half the amount of sugar. So instead of a pound of fruit and a pound of sugar make it with a pound of fruit to half a pound of sugar. Sorry but I don't know the metric measurements. You can do the same with cakes and sweet breads too.

Re: Self care -- Food, salt, sugar and water

how are you going @getbetter, @Former-Member, @NikNik, @Kurra

Thank you @Kurra, have you made your own jams

glad you can join us my friend xx

Re: Self care -- Food, salt, sugar and water

Many many times @Shaz51 as well as chutney, tomato sauce and plum sauce. I've also preserved a lot of vegetables and fruits. 🎶💕
