Re: My special place

I feel that if you didn't push or advocate for your mum, she'd still be waiting a long long time @Snowie  At least you've put her on the waitlist.

Consider all the things within your control that you can do. Yes, whilst we can't change the waitlist, is there something you can do to ensure you are being looked after while you look after your mum?

Do you have siblings that can support with the care of your mum?

Re: My special place

It's really only me that she has @tyme especially for the day to day things

She sees my brother sometimes but not at my house.

I haven't had contact with my brother for about 4 years. There is a lot of history between the two of us.

Re: My special place

Fair enough @Snowie . No point in struggling and put your MH on the line. Is your brother aware of your mum's needs?

(No need to answer if you don't feel up to it)

Re: My special place

@tyme it was very sunny today, I’ve packed my sunglasses for tomorrow. The weather was nice, not too cold or hot. Uni was okay, I got through things, still had intrusive thoughts playing in the background.

@Snowie I hope your mum is able to get support soon

Re: My special place

Thanks @creative_writer me too.

@tyme my brother knows what's happening with mum. I'm not sure he knows how it is day to day.

I know eventually I will have to communicate with him about her needs. At some point I will have to put my differences aside.
