Wondering if anyone else has a cricut machine or perhaps have been sitting on the fence about getting one and I could maybe help influence a purchase? 😉
Ive had one for a few months and love playing around with what I can make with it.
Happy to share some of my creations, try and explain how to do stuff too
I’ve made up these recently to put on Christmas cards

They are great @Bow ! I dont know the "magic" model, but ive often looked at a few other ones in the past. I dont do craft anymore though so i cant justify buying one lol. I used to do it with friends which was good.
I do still enjoy seeing peoplea creations though!

Hey Creative Folk here and @Bow ,
I am really lookingforward to this thread because I have a cricut machine that was sitting in a box for 3-5 years (in fact, it's in its box right now). I thought it could only do one thing, so I wasn't really enthused...
But it looks like the possibilities are endless!!!!
If you have creative artwork, please feel free to add it here. I'd love to see it.
Just a note: Please don't post identifying projects e.g. names of people etc.

@Bow ! I just looked on the box of my cricut and it says it has a pen, but I've never seen it! So YES i MUST have one!
And folks, one thing I'm REALLY proud of myself with it comes to the cricut is that I replaced the rubber roller grips ALL BY MYSELF! And the cricuit still works!
I hardly used the cricut and by the time I pulled it out of the box from the garage, the rubber had rotted away. I phoned around to get quotes to get it repaired and no one even does it!
Then I googled it and bought the parts (including the special screw drivers/keys) and replaced them! It wasn't easy at all, so I'm happy I did it.
So if you need help with that, it's something I CAN talk about!
Oh, and I have the Cricut maker.

Did you get your printing done today @Bow ?

I did go and pick up my printing from office works today @tyme @little disappointed with some of them, quality not the best. Hard to tell on the computer if the image is going to print nice and crisp when it’s enlarged a little. And I’m missing a page! I now have a bit of a numb finger though cause I was using a craft nife to cut out most of the pictures.
Had to go to spotlight too, mum needed fabric. I grabbed some more vinyl cause they had a Black Friday sale.
did you find your cricut pen?
and @AlwaysMyself cricut ‘magic’ isn’t a machine name…. Just kinda referring to the magic that cricut machines can do! All the tricks and features. 🙂

@Bow oh that makes sense then! I have heard of the models such as "joy" and "air", so I just assumed "magic" was another version 🤣.
Shame that there is a page missing in your printing 😞 and that the images were not as crisp as hoped - I've had that with photos before where sometimes the printer place is really high quality and some aren't so good (even if providing a properly high resolution image).
@tyme it made me smile that you had left it in the box so long the rubber rollers had perished lol. I have had similar experience with craft tools before that i have bought with a desire to use and not got around to! I gave a never-used air-spray-paint machine to a relative earlier in the year 😕.
Big congrats on replacing the rollers yourself! 😄 So much cheaper and a great accomplishment to feel proud of.
I wonder what your first project will be?
@Bow I understand the pain of a craftknife cutting out. I spent 24 hours (over a week) hand-cutting out paper for a pop-up card once. I made this pattern: https://onlinepartysupplies.com.au/products/handmade-turquoise-ferris-wheel-3d-pop-up-card I have a Japanese book with the pattern (and others, but I loved this one most). It was so painful and hand cramps. Its actually party why I want a cricut or similar - but I want one that can cut around a solid printed line (rather than having to mark it all out in the software); I don't recall if the cricut could do that, or if it was a similar machine by Brother at the time I was looking years ago.

Oh wow @AlwaysMyself that is a lot of work to cut out by hand!!
This was originally why I started looking into getting a cricut… I cut out all of this by hand
my cricut machine can do all that work for me now! And so much more!
last time I had a numb craftknife finger tip it was numb for weeks. Hoping this doesn’t last as long.

Oh my gosh! That is amazing @Bow !!!!!!! I love it so much!!! I cannot imagine how many hours that took to cut out and make by hand 😮. Looks so good though!

So amazing @Bow ! Wow!
I was thinking... can you laminate the printed sheets first and then put it through the cricut?
Yes @AlwaysMyself ! I changed the rollers! I was hard and time consuming though... hope these rubber rollers last longer than the original! I'd rather pay someone to do it, but no one even does it! I phoned cricut and they pretty much said to buy a new one.
